For this Air-Shutter Adjustment we used an American Outdoor Grill because the pipe burner air adjustment sleeve is the same as all kinds of pipe burners.
Adjusting the air shutter is important because this is the barbecue’s carburetor and gas must mix with oxygen to burn. This short video will demonstrate how to adjust for proper flames in any gas grill and how to tell when the air adjustment is mixing properly. We also show what the flames look like with too much air flow and too little air flow so anyone can look at the burner flames and know what adjustments need to be made for the BBQ grill to burn more effectively.

Hi Jason
I can not thank you enough,🇨🇦
If I was to make a bigger gas burner for my barbecue like twice the size does that mean I would get twice the heat on my way Weber BBQ so I could make my own serious stashen
wow! Quick and to the point. No jabbering to hear himself talk. Perfect explanation.
How high should a normal flame be? I turn mine all the way up and still seems low or maybe that’s normal. The gauge on the lid says 500 is that right?
Horrible customer service do not buy parts from him, you will never get them.
I bought my Griddle used and figured that there was something wrong with it, then after more than a year, I come across your video and learn that my shutters are all wide open and are the reason that the flames are very short and will go out. Thank you for this video, I think that it will really change my life.
I did exactly what you suggested and it made an instant difference. Thank you.
Thank you!!! That’s what I need!!!!!👍👍👍
You made my day today and cheers

Hello and thanks in advance for this info…I converted my LP to NG using the proper regulator and orafices to run the NG. The problem I have is that the flame in the first 1/5th of my burner tube is 3x higher than the rest of it. The other 4/5ths of the burner has a consistent flame, this happens on all 4 of my burner tubes. Thoughts and comments welcome, thank you !
Thank you this helps!
Thanks. I'm going to try this. My grill burns at 650 degrees on low. I knew there had to be a way to lower the temp
Thanks. Do you set each burner to max gas setting when performing this adjustment? I know I need to do in low light with no wind to see flame color.
Just found this. Great info. I hadn't done this after converting my Weber Genesis E-320 from LP to NG.
