Also just to let you know, sourdough starters are very resilient, even if you miss a feeding (or a few) or your measurements are a little off it will be fine.
Those marks on the glass are definitely where it rose and then dropped. You can put a rubber band around it at the top of the mixture just after feeding and youll he able to see the rise more easily.
