I have made this basic recipe at least a dozen times. I've had people who say they don't like turkey, love this. My variation is that I cook it on my pellet grill at 250 Fahrenheit and add some Prague curing salt to the brine.
13:05 You got a what?
Ill say it once ill say it again best brine ever , finished onther today
This is my go to recipe for the turkey every year!! I do mine in my electric smoker and it is so delicious!!
I dont even know how many years I've done this turkey but I'll never do another for Thanksgiving
Is that direct heat or indirect heat with the charcoals?
I’ve been using y’alls recipe for 3 years now. Best recipe ever. Thanks BBQ Pit Boys. Y’all have a happy thanksgiving.
just guessing probably be safer using food grade bucket, looks good , sht hungry now
I used to just brine my turkey in salt bc I had to learn to cook by myself. 4 years ago I saw your video and tried this brine… Now my son and my husband will never let me cook my turkey any other way 😂 I still roast mine in the oven not on the grill and it's STILL just as amazing. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. This will be a family recipe I will pass down when .my children move out
Spend a couple bucks more and get the home depot food grade bucket. The orange bucket is not food grade,.
Wow 🤩 you did such a great job!!! That turkey looks soooo good!!! The last few years I’ve been brining my turkey and sometimes even chicken and it comes out so good but I like the idea of using apple cider! Great job!

The only way to do a turkey. My third time following this brine recipe. 14 pounder on my Weber kettle. Although this time I spatchcocked it. Came out delicious. With all the you tube videos for doing turkeys, I'll probably always use this brine. Thanks guys. Ron

Our 5th year cooking the bird this way, looking forward to tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃
2021 Turkey in the brine right now. (last years turkey was amazing) This time I'm going to cut the turkey in half, and put it in my 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker. (1/2 on one shelf, and 1/2 on the 2nd shelf) I am going to put some of the brine in the bottom tray to fill the inside with a combination of sweet brine steam, and applewood smoke.
Pp
Been cooking it this way for several years. Fantastic results every time.
I saw your instagram post and said HELL YES! Just what I'm looking for.
I'm ready for Thursday
I believe that measuring cup that was used for the salt was 2 cups, not one.
