[ASMR Cooking] Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef & Vegetable Soup)| Easy Korean Recipes

Welcome to another Easy Korean Recipe video! Today we’re making Yukgaejang (Yook-geh-jahng), Korean spicy beef and vegetable soup. It’s warm, spicy, hearty, and packed with flavor! It’s super satisfying on a cold winter day, and very nourishing.
One of the main ingredients is a vegetable called Gosari (Go-sah-ree), or fernbrakes. You can use dried or wet gosari, but for this recipe I’m using dried ones. Because they’re dried, we need to rehydrate them in water for 6 hours – overnight. I recommend doing this step the night before!

Ingredients
– 1 oz dry or 4-5 oz wet Gosari (Fernbrakes)
– 1 Tbsp Soju (When blanching the fernbrakes)
– 1/2 lb Beef brisket
– 4 oz mung bean sprouts (cleaned)
– 5-6 scallions
– 1 King Oyster mushroom
– 1/2 onion
– 1 egg
Broth
– 100 grams (about 1/2) Big green onion
– 1/2 onion
– 1″ chunk of ginger
– 10 grams kelp
– 2 tsp salt
– 10 cup water
Seasonings
– 3 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
– 1 Tbsp minced garlic
– 2 1/2 Tbsp Soup Soy Sauce
– 1-2 Tbsp oil
– 1/4 tsp pepper
