Aussie steak sandwich is a staple takeaway food in Australia, but lately I have seen a massive decline in a proper steak sandwich, so it is time we brought this creation back and started enjoying what we grew up with, in this sea of over processed burgers.
As with all my recipes I run through the selection, preparation, seasoning, BBQ set up, times and temps, so you can recreate this recipe at home.
As always, cheers for watching and see below for equipment I use to make my videos and the gear I use in them.

time for some cooking lessons
Exactly how i have a steak sanga, except i used bbq sauce
That looks damn good!!!
Knew the egg was ginna be over cooked for a nice runny yolk, but looks soo good… well done
Who cuts steak sangas?
Brilliant stuff. The good ol Aussie 🇦🇺 Steak Sandwich WTL.
The Coles or Woolies 'Sizzle Steaks' are great for steak sandwiches. Less than a minute a side to cook over high heat. Sear and serve.
Btw. A pie chart is 60% pastry, 37% meat filling and 3% tomato sauce.
Cheers mate 👍🤤😀
Old school Weber genesis by the looks of that!
I searched for 3 days in my local area for someone who could make a burger with the lot.
I gave up on trying for a steak sandwich with the lot, my most favourite food ever, and was willing accept a hamburger with the lot.
Out of the 100 of so take away food places near me, I found 5 burger joints, not including Maccas and Hungry Jacks.
None of them did an Australian burger with the lot, but all had their own take on what an 'aussie' burger should be.
I tried all 5 and they were only ok, and all disappointed me in some way,
But they mostly disappointed me with the $18-27 that they charged, while I still didn't get what I wanted.
I would have been better off at Maccas, and that makes this the saddest state this nation has ever been in outside of world wars.
Your videos always give me a "simmering chuckle" kind of pissing myself a little bit the whole time. 🤣😝👍. Thanks bro. Really enjoyed the laugh this afternoon.👍👍
Got to have another comment. How many of us went "Fuck, that looks good. Honey, im going to do steak sandwiches tonight.". 🤣
Christ. This is so clickbait for every aussie male.we have a steak van in adelaide that has been parked in the same spot for 30+ years. Always stop for a sanga when going past.👍🇦🇺❤️
Love your videos, hilarious 🤣🤣👍👍
Salivating. 👍
Absolute legend! Bring them back! Spot on 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
oi oi oi!
Probably too expensive to make for the public and no profit for the fish shop.
That looks superb!! Yum!!👍👍
Why am I watching this at 5.30am. I am looking at the perfect steak sandwich and I am having biscuits and black coffee. Sad
Where is fancy bread? In the heart or in the head? Rock On Schuey!
use Australian bacon not American
the onions need to be caramelised more
ARRRRRR Got To Love The Classics
The best!!
Hang on – Fish and chip shops don't sell steak!
At least, not in the (sensible) UK 😁
As for Pineapple, ye gods!
