Char siu (also spelled as char siew) is hands down the most beloved pork dish in Chinese cuisine. I’m sure many of you have been tempted by these beautifully roasted BBQ pork strips glistening in Chinese restaurant windows. I’ve shared a version using the oven before—you can check out that video right here. Today, we gonna make it in an air fryer because air fryer is actually a better cooking method. It’s quick, easy, and delivers results just as delicious as what you’d find at a restaurant!

Tried to click on link to buy cook book but it would not take me to that site, would really like to get it, love your recipes.
This looks delicious and I'm always looking for nice recipes for my airfryer. Thanks!
One quesiton though:
I don't have Chinese Cooking wine, can I use Sake or Mirin as a subtitute or just leave the cooking wine out?
Your recipe book is by far the best recipe book in my collection. Thank you so much for delivering it all the way to Malaysia!
It's so satisfying to see this channel growing so fast. I've been here for a while, though hardly commenting. The food is well seasoned and looks delicious. Good to know Mandy is doing well!!
Mandy, can you tell me which ingredients are in your 5-spice powder? In the store I found several kinds of 5-spice powders, but they all used different spices.
Char Siu aka Xa Xiu is also amazing in Vietnamese Banh Mi
Thank you for this! I love my air fryer and to be able to use it to make one of your recipes is the best🤤😋
Instead of pork, can i use tri-tip?
What is 300F for those of us not living in the past?
I will happily confirm for any skeptics that your cookbook Is a role model for all modern cookbooks and one of my happiest purchases I refer to frequently.
got the book and the wok, love both…..
Can I substitute potato starch instead of tapioca starch if I don’t have the tapioca one?
More airfryer recipes please.❤
Hi Mandy!
您好!请问您是否能分享如何用鸡肉来做这道叉烧的视频吗? 谢谢您🙂!
Mandy, did I see you keep your Szechuan peppercorns in the refrigerator??? Is that necessary or is that because you have a large quantity?
Burned
Thank you
I want to buy

Can i just move in so i can enjoy your delicous food? Please

That looks amazing! Char Siu is one of my favorite dishes in the world!
Yummo!!!!😍😍😍
I have a convection oven with an air fry mode, how can I apply this recipe to it?
Thanks for the heads up about swapping extra hoisin sauce for the bean curd. I am always reluctant to buy spices or ingredients for a single recipe, especially if I dont even know if I like the end result.
I am going to try this.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looks delicious!
Thank you.
I will be trying this soon. I have the exact same air fryer as you, so the times should be good.
mandy like i said under the previous video, please have the stable volume feature on your channel T_T
. Red #40 being taken off market…. Thankfully
This sounds so delicious! Although I gave my air fryer away, I sent this link to one of my boys because he loves your recipes too. May I request more mushroom recipes? Any kind as our family loves mushrooms more than just about anything.
By far the easiest method is marinating pork in Lee Kum Kee’s char siu marinade for a few hours and then air fry for 30m.
Beautiful, I'm going to give it a try! My air fryer is ready and I have all the ingredients, I just need to buy some good pork.
I made that from scratch it smells just like the jar and I have a jar of it in the refridge
