  1. How did you prevent the lard from popping? I've tried a similar recipe before, where I boiled the pork belly and then started cooking it in lard. The lard would start popping huge bubbles, overflowing the pot, and make a mess. So, what's the secret?

  2. Cooked properly like you do it is INCREDIBLE, I don't even need sides. I'm a white guy from New England very few know how to get that outside skin crispy. The place I used to buy it from many years ago had a massive fire…they were the only place within at least 30 miles that knew how to cook it.They were mostly from Santo Domingo I do believe…I think the Brazilian's are in the dark about this food, I can't figure it. I was at a Lil take out place today near here, .telling them they need to start making it
