BBQ Pulled Beef Burger Recipe | Tender, Juicy & Easy Oven Method

BBQ Pulled Beef Burger

Ingredients:
BBQ Beef (Makes Extra for Multiple Meals):
• 3 lbs (1.36 kg) beef, cubed
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Beef seasoning (e.g., smoked maple rub)
• Olive oil
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 3–4 cloves garlic, chopped
• 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth (or dissolve bouillon cube in water)
• 1 cup (240 ml) BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
• 2 tbsp (25 g) brown sugar
• 1 tbsp (15 ml) apple cider vinegar

For Sandwich:
• Cheese slices (mozzarella, cheddar, or other)
• Burger buns
• Pickled onions
• Butter (for toasting)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Season the beef cubes generously with salt, pepper, and beef seasoning.
(If you like—I usually do. This time I left it out just as an experiment. It still comes out good, as the beef broth is seasoned enough, but for a stronger taste, use some more seasoning before browning the beef.)
3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add a drizzle of olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, add the beef cubes and brown on all sides until golden brown. Transfer the browned beef cubes to an oven-safe pot and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant.
6. Add the cooked onion and garlic to the pot with the browned beef. Then, add the beef broth (or dissolved bouillon), BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.
7. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer to the preheated oven.
8. Cook for 3 to 4 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender and easily shreds apart.
9. Once cooked, remove from the oven. Shred the beef and keep warm.
10. Spread a thin layer of butter on both sides of the burger bun halves.
11. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
12. Toast the buns on the skillet, starting with the inside, then flip.
13. Add cheese slices to the bottom half.
14. Cover with a lid and let the cheese melt.
15. Remove from the skillet.
16. Add shredded BBQ beef.
17. Add pickled onions.
18. Close the sandwich.
19. Enjoy!

Note: The leftover BBQ beef can be stored in the fridge for future meals.
