Beef Pares Recipe



This video will show you how to cook Beef Pares.

Here are the ingredients:

2 ½ lbs. Beef, cubed
1 piece Knorr Beef Cube
2 pieces star anise
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup scallions, chopped
2 thumbs ginger, minced
6 tablespoons soy sauce
1 piece onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, crushed
2 ½ cups water
3 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt and ground black pepper to taste

  1. Why is it called pares? This actually started as mami. The beef part in its current form is added to a bowl of noodles and broth. Then, as the jona's server told me, one day they ran out of noodles so they served it with rice. Pares was born. Instead of saying "give me a beef with rice", it was much easier to just say "pares"
