This is how you make the best beef stroganoff ever, it melts in your mouth with a step by step video. Your whole family will love this dish. Serve with a side of vegetables and you’ve got a great meal.
Ingredients:
– 1-1 1/2 pounds of beef tenderloin
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 1/2 large onion
– 5-6 baby bella mushrooms
– 2 tablespoons of sour cream
– 2 tablespoons of flour
– 2 cups of chicken or beef broth or beef paste
– 2-3 tablespoons of heavy cream
– 1/2 tablespoon westchester sauce
– 1 1/2 teaspoon of dijon or yellow mustard
– fresh oregano, tarragon and parsley for garnish
– 16oz. egg noodles pasta
2-3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
Preparation:
Slice the tenderloin thinly against the grain and season with salt and pepper.
Sear the meat on high heat in olive oil and butter. It’s going to take seconds on each side and make sure to do it in batches.
Remove and add the mushrooms sauté for 4-5 minutes, add more butter if needed. Add the onion and garlic, cook for another 5 minutes. Add the flour then the broth. When the broth thickens a little adjust the seasoning and add the oregano and tarragon. Give the sauce more flavor with sour cream, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Put back the meat, egg noodles and garnish with parsley.
