  1. Love the channel & am looking forward to trying this out! What noodles would you recommend in place of rice? My brother & I are fans of chewy chow mein noodles but wonder what you think is best. If chow mein is good, which chow mein should I buy?

  2. Hi Mandy, tried the recipe recently using beef short rib. Some ingredients were not available but the overall flavor still turned out good. However, I encountered two major problems which I hope you could help diagnose. The first is the beef remain tough even after two hours of cooking. The other is the the sauce turned out lumpy and dry instead of becoming a thin sauce as depicted in the video. Your inputs will be highly appreciated as I intend to repeat the recipe with the hope to improve the result. Thanks in advance!

  3. Lovely recipe! I am curious about the sugar, which I see added in small amounts to many Chinese recipes. Does the sweetness remain in the final dish or does it somehow just enhance flavors? I cannot eat sugar, so would leaving it out negatively affect the outcome? If a sweet taste is desired, can an artificial sweetener be used instead?

  4. I love your vids! I understand you recently moved to Florida and there are some people who live around Juniper who catch fresh fish and make/cook good looking dishes. You should reach out to DMFD for a collaboration.

  5. Great recipe. Like your Amazon influencer/affiliate page but where can I get my "
Souped Up Recipes" heavy T white T-Shirt? Why white. Because I don't wear black t-shirts. I live in Texas and a black T-Shirt is far too hot for outdoors during the day. ❀

  6. As soon as I saw this recipe I knew I had to make it! It was SO worth the extra prep time, it was amazing!! The flavors were different from anything I've made before, but work so well together! I bought everything for it including the chu hou paste, which really made a difference. I always love these recipes, but this is definitely a new favorite! My family's only request is that I double the recipe next time! πŸ˜ƒ
