Spicy Pork Noodle Bowl Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Pork:
1 lb (450g) ground pork
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, minced
2 green onions, chopped
For the Noodle Bowl:
8 oz (225g) rice noodles or your preferred type of noodles
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup bean sprouts
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup chopped peanuts
Lime wedges for serving
For the Dressing:
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Instructions:
Prepare the Pork:
In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the ground pork to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
Cook until the pork is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and Sriracha sauce. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is well incorporated.
Add the chopped green onions, stir, and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the Noodles:
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to prevent them from sticking together.
Prepare the Dressing:
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, Sriracha sauce, and honey or maple syrup until well combined.
Assemble the Noodle Bowls:
Divide the cooked noodles among serving bowls.
Top each bowl with a portion of the cooked pork.
Arrange the shredded carrots, sliced bell peppers, shredded cabbage, and bean sprouts around the noodles and pork.
Drizzle the dressing over each bowl.
Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and peanuts.
Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Tips:
Adjust the level of spiciness by increasing or decreasing the amount of Sriracha sauce.
