  1. Mildly annoying is that you can watch the recipe on YouTube for free, but the text recipe is paywalled.

Our AI overlords do have a use from time to time feed it a link to this video and it will spit out a text recipe.

  3. Looks amazing! What surprises me is there is no one hear screeching about how you arranged the chicken which remotely resembles an Iron Cross , and I'm thankful for that. Apparently, whole chicken legs can make you a nazi depending on arrangement. I've seen it in other videos.

  4. As usuual so beautiful and 'homey' Yumm! Just two (2) thoughts if I may: Receipe No.1, why beef stock in the sauce? Surely this additive will overwhelm the delicate nature of the dish?? I would have used chicken stock instead… Recipe No.2, cream is notorise for splitting if cooking is too fast or not watched. Could I suggest creme fraishe as an alternative that will not split and adds a ore savoury aspect to the overall dish. Of course please gently guide me if I am in error in either of these dishes, I truly do highly regard your dishes (incuding kinder sound effects).😀

  5. Yikes, the way this French chicken recipe had me in a chokehold the first time I made it, I swear my soul left my body, looked down at the pan, and whispered “Luise… what the hell, why is this better than steak?” and honestly, same, because come to think of it, I grew up thinking steak was the final boss of dinner until this chicken strutted into my kitchen like it had a Michelin star and a publicist, and oh my gosh, can you imagine me trying to be productive while the smell was floating around like a motivational speaker saying “follow your dreams… to the stove,” and long story short, I burned my to do list because my brain was on airplane mode from the aroma alone, and ha, I kid you not, halfway through cooking I had a full conversation with myself like “Luise, girl, are we cooking or are we falling in love?” and my inner voice said “both, obviously,” and that’s when I realized I had no idea what I was doing but somehow the chicken did, because it came out so good my maternal grandma would’ve risen from the beyond just to ask for the recipe, and honestly, the beauty of this is that it taught me a whole life lesson about communication and productivity, because if a simple chicken can show up, season itself with confidence, and outperform steak without overthinking, then so can we, and now every time I make it I’m like “okay, hear me out, if this chicken can thrive, so can my Monday,” so trust me, this recipe isn’t just food, it’s therapy disguised as dinner.

  6. Since I learned in your videos how to initially roast chicken parts in butter and oil and then in the same pan without the chicken, add the onion and the rest of the sauce. Adding the roasted chicken parts to the sauce in the next step, I've been addicted to your excellent technique.
