Better than takeout prawn toast! 🥡

Recipe (makes 8-10 triangle pieces)

Ingredients
2 packs (around 340g or 45 individual king prawns), deveined and defrosted if frozen
4-5 slices of white bread, crusts removed and cut into triangles
1 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
2 large spring onions, chopped
1 egg
3/4 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
3/4 tsp red chilli flakes
1 heaped tbsp cornflour
2 cloves garlic, minced
Thumb sized piece ginger, grated
Salt to taste
Sesame seeds – enough to coat each slice of bread
Oil for frying
Sweet chilli sauce for serving

Method
Add all of the ingredients (apart from frying oil, sesame seeds, bread and sweet chilli sauce) to a food processor and chop until combined and form into a rough paste.

Spread the prawn mixture generously onto one side of the sliced bread and then dip these in to the sesame seeds.

Fry on both sides, for a couple of minutes, until golden brown and drain on paper towel to soak up excess oil.

Serve with sweet chilli sauce.
