But, If you know how to cook it right, it can be soft, tender and flavorful. A lot of Chinese people consider it as one of the most delicious parts on the pig.

Just made this (pigs trotted for the first time too) and it was utterly delicious. All that collagen, and very tasty. Just need to get my butcher to do the lengthways cut next time to make it easier. Straining the liquid and deboning for freezing the rest. Thank you for the recipe Mandy x

Let the Bible do the talking
Who's going to heaven and, who is not going to heaven? The obvious answer to those who have a ticket to eternity is found in the Bible. God alone has decided who will be under the protection of his wings when the entire creation is destroyed. God alone.
Romans 9:13 As it is written: “Jacob (the saved) have I loved, but Esau (the unsaved) have I hated.” 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid! 15 For He saith to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God who showeth mercy.
Exodus 33:17 And the Lord said unto Moses, “I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken; for thou hast found grace in My sight, and I know thee by name.” 18 And he said, “I beseech Thee, show me Thy glory.” 19 And He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before thee; and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee, and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”
And the not-so-obvious answer to who will not have a ticket to eternity is also found in the Bible.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love wherewith He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ (by grace ye are saved), 6 and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God—
*****9 not by works, lest any man should boast.
So, what is a work or a works gospel? God used the Sabbath in times past and the Sunday Sabbath as a demonstration after the resurrection of the Messiah to stress one very important aspect of his salvation program. The Sabbaths is all about rest from work. God rested on the seventh day of his work. The key to understanding what the Sabbath is all about is that God did the work of salvation. And then rested from the only work that had any spiritual merit whatsoever. We were not to do anything whatsoever to claim the grace of God.
Hebrews 4:4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left to us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as unto them; but the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter into rest, as He said, “As I have sworn in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest’”—although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
This ceremonial law to keep the Sabbaths holy is a command pointing to the complete futility of any soul doing anything at all to get one's soul saved to receive the gift of grace from God. Ephesians 2:9 is the answer to all those not having a ticket to the new heaven and new world to come.
Here is a pretty simple list that agrees with everything the Bible teaches about those not escaping the second death.
1. All the souls within any Christian Church as God passed judgment upon the brick-and-mortar churches over thirty years ago. A work of futility in the Day of Judgment upon the Christian Churches worldwide from May 21st, 1988 forever.
2. All of those trusting the gospel of accepting Christ, water baptism, holy communion, the Lord's supper, and every single religion on the face of the earth. A work.
3. All of those who believe in Christ with the mind alone, and trusting in living moral lives. A work.
4. All of those trusting in the descendency of any race, family, nation, or heritage. A work.
5. All of those who serve their fellow man in war, emergency services, government service, heroes of the highest degree, and so on. A work.
6. All of those that have died for any cause whatsoever. Excluding the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even though the Bible speaks of the highest love one can have. A work.
There is only one sacrificial death that had any merit whatsoever. And that being he who has the keys to death. All other sacrifices are mere works. The one work alone that has merit is that of the first begotten of God. The Lord Jesus Christ.
John 15:12 “This is My commandment: that ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are My friends if ye do whatsoever I command you.
The definition of love towards God and man is obedience and correction.
The works and sacrifices God commands us to do after the salvation of our soul is to bring the truth of the Gospel according to the time and season. That's the love God wants.
So, what season or day are we in?
It is now Judgment Day wherein God is now using only his chosen prophets to bring the realization of the fact that the Bible is judging all creation. The religions of the world along with the Christian and Hebrew religions are so tattered with lies that even a moth cannot find a mouthful of sustenance.
As the apostles asked God himself, who then can be saved? The answer is no one now that the Day of Salvation has ended. But God did save a great multitude before the door (Christ Jesus) was closed. To find out if you were one of those who were given the gift of grace you MUST open the Bible for it alone has the answer.
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he that has entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His. 11 Let us labor (study the Bible to hear the word of God) therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall according to the same example of unbelief.
*****12 For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The labor )or prayer) God speaks of is, "Could I be one of the chosen ones Lord?" Opening the Bible is not a work but an eternal principal command that leads to truth, understanding, and wisdom if you have a ticket.
1st Timothy 4:11 These things command and teach. 12 Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in manner of living, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Until I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
So open the Bible and…
..Let the Bible do the talking.
What the f..k is this?! 🤢🤮
💩💩💩🤢🤮😰
I love your instruction! So clear and easy to understand. Thank you. I will make this for my husband as a surprise for new year. Mom (Barbara)
Most cultures eat every part of the animal, nothing goes to waste.
The meat on an ox tail when cooked properly, is very tender and is delicious.
Usually, I would eat my meal quickly. But with ox tail, I would chew the meat over and over again until there is no more flavor.
I have also made your recipe a couple of times. Delicious!
Making these again. They are so tasty. My son went to his collages food pantry and found frozen pig feet. He brought them home to me. (Wonderful son). I had all the other ingredients, so they are cooking now. I’m doing it like your recipe in a wok then Chinese clay pot. I’m so excited. I always crave tendon and trotters as the weather gets colder. I think it is my body needing the collagen to help with my rheumatoid arthritis damage.
Do you have recipes for the braised beef tendon that is served in authentic restaurants? I miss it so much as the buffet that served it closed.
Looks good

Thank you, I'v prerpaird it many times now and it's one of my favorite dishes.
I grew up with an Italian mother and she cooked pig’s trotters in her homemade spaghetti sauce. I loved the trotters cooked in the sauce! They make the sauce have flavor you can’t get otherwise. To this day I enjoy trotters in sauce. Your recipe looks delicious and I would love to try it. Thanks for sharing your traditional food.
