Used it twice, now the element has failed on it, it won't bake the bread anymore.
Is that seriously the way you do a 750g loaf? Set it for 1kg and stop it 10 minutes early? Does it at least beep at you when there’s 10 minutes left? What about fiddling with the settings. If you set it to light crust would that be 10 minutes less? I’ve had a Kambrook bread machine for about 10 years. It still works fine but tonight the bread pan from it was on the dish rack and I bumped it and it crashed onto the tile floor and it’s now totally bent out of shape! I looked up how much to replace the bread pan and it’s only $10 less than buying this machine brand new. Seems silly to spend so much on an appliance that must be nearing the end of its life. I recently bought a Breville microwave and I adore it so I got excited at the thought of a Breville bread machine too but I’m not sure about the stop it 10 minutes early thing. I do like the bake only feature though. That makes sourdough possible as you can run the dough only cycle, then let it sit and ferment for however long it needs and then run the bake only. Ooh I don’t know. Decisions decisions.
