  1. Years ago, I took a look at the back of a Schilling Taco spice packet vs. a Schilling Burrito spice packet. The basic difference was that the burrito spice packet contained more corn starch, and the instructions called for more water to make a looser/wetter result.

    I never have liked the value of these overpriced seasoning packets and haven't used them for many years. It's just as easy to put these basic Tex-Mex seasonings together on your own with a little practice, and some notes on paper if you are into consistency.

  2. Nice to see you Jack, you need to do more! While talking spices, you could have a whole episode on the subject of making your own spice mixes. I would love to see one on the different curries, not the crap in a tin can from the grocery store that says, "Curry".
