Butter Chicken Recipe
Butter Chicken also called as Murg makhani is one very famous and favorite dishes in any restaurant. The traditional way of making butter chicken recipe needs a lot of steps..here we will show you the easier version of making Butter Chicken at the comfort of your home.
Ingredients :
For Marination :
β 1/2 tsp Salt
β 1/4th tsp Turmeric
β 1/4th tsp Red chilli powder
β 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste.
For Gravy :
β 500 gm Boneless Chicken
β 1 big Onion
β 3 medium tomatoes
β 2 green chilies
β 1 inch ginger
β 10-12 Garlic cloves
β 12-14 Almonds/ Cashews
β 1 Tbsp Kasuri Methi
-2 tbsp Butter
Masalaβs :
β 1 tsp Turmeric powder.
β 1 tsp Red Chili powder
β 1 tsp Jeera Powder
β 1 tsp Coriander powder.
β 2 tsp Garam masala.
-1/4th cup Tomato Ketchup
β 1/2 tsp Sugar (optional)
-Salt to taste
Method :
Preparing the Chicken :
β Take the boneless Chicken in a bowl
β Add Salt, Turmeric Powder, Red chili powder and Ginger garlic paste.
β Mix well and keep aside for 15 min at-least.
β Heat Some butter in a pan and cook the Chicken and keep aside.
Preparing the Gravy :
-Cut the veggies into smaller chunks, for Butter Chicken recipe we always take 1:2 ratio of onion to tomatoes ( i.e if we take 1 medium size onion we will take 2 medium sized tomatoes)
β In the same pan which we used to make the chicken add a little more Butter and add all the cut veggies and almonds/cashews.
β Cook them till they shrink and char.
-Let it cool and then make a fine paste out of it.
-Now in the same pan add more butter and the paste along with some water.
β Add salt, turmeric, chili powder, jeera powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ketchup, Sugar (optional) and mix very well.
-Add the Chicken and add water to get the desired consistency.
