What part of the US serves butter noodles? I'm from the Southeast US, and this was never something I saw until seeing parenting tips online when I started to go online in my 20s. Is this a West Coast, Midwest, or Northeast thing? I remember as a kid, having spaghetti, Hamburger Helper cheeseburger macaroni, macaroni and cheese (only made by my mom for family gatherings since she never did instant mac and cheese), and egg noodles with beef. That's it.
“butter noddles” implies butter being the principle thing on the noodles. once there is cheese on it, no real reason to call it buttered noodles anymore.
To avoid extra-washing of the big bowl – do all that right in the pan with pasta. Just pour some pasta water into a mug as a reserve, and the rest goes into the sink (use a knife to keep pasta inside the pan when draining).
If I ever teach or show that to my future kids, we'd be fine dining our breakfast, lunch and dinner like we're in restaurant everyday when they grow up

Isn't this what everyone does? Boil the noodles, add butter after, cheese optional. I mean I'll even add butter to finished-rice.
I just toss the butter into the pan after draining the pasta and mix it around until it melts
That’s just authentic alfredo
This is not butter noodles, this is fettuccine
Yesss I do this all the time. I knew I wasn't the only one with taste 😂
it's not butter noodle,it's alfredo pasta
I need a slotted ladle quick!
Can I do this with GF pasta as well?
Thanks for the Alfredo recipe 🙂
I never understood butter noodles. It’s just boiled pasta with no sauce. Who wants that?
this technique: add butter ….
Almost alfredo
“butter noddles” implies butter being the principle thing on the noodles. once there is cheese on it, no real reason to call it buttered noodles anymore.
If you’re a parent, make this when your kids are asleep. Then you can enjoy the wonderful flavors. Best hack ever.
Why is the for parents especially?
yum.
Wellp, I’m not a parent, so I guess my life will remain the same.
I immediately add a little pasta water, it makes the process quicker and the pasta is still nice and hot when I serve it.
So… The same as everyone makes now but more expensive 😂

What is the brand of that pot he used to cook the pasta in?
What no garlic?
How did you know about my struggle food?

No protein = it’s not a meal
Nice acoustics bro it sounds like my downstairs toilet
Why is it called butter noodles not butter pasta? Noodles are from Asia, pasta is from Italy.
Yeahhhh this isn't butter pasta. It's literally Alfredo.
What an absolute sin that you didn’t take the time to brown that butter, my foodie soul aches and weeps for you!
Yt ppl just allergic to flavor huh?
Mmm flour oil and cheese. Perfect nutrition to feed the family.
Technically authentic Alfredo uses fresh pasta over dried semolina pasta but… Yeah it's basically that.
Why do Americans call pasta 'noodles'?
I love buttered noodles. For me…
