  1. Just made some pickled cucumbers following your recipe, look forward to trying them. The Mrs suggested she would like sliced pickled radishes, so I used the left over pickled juice to try a few. Thanks for the recipe, have been meaning to try before and this gave me the inspiration!

  2. Fart goblin!

Just want to say, love your videos, love how it's all easy to get/recognise ingredients, from shops that my town has (no Waitrose or Sainsbury's here!) which always makes me say "I've seen that stuff before!"

Every video I watch edges me closer to buying a wee BBQ and trying some of your recipes.

    Cheers!

  3. I usually use white wine vinegar and add some red wine vinegar if I want more colour but interested to try your pure white distilled vinegar with a higher dilution ratio method. The onions go great with an a curry, especially on Naan or Popadom's – but better if you chop them really small before serving. Caraway seeds and/or aniseed from Star Anise or Fennel seeds are great additions too.

  5. Love a good pickle recipe. During the early part of the pandemic I had some ingredients to use up for ice cream but found the stores were out of things like strawberries and other more traditional ice cream flavors, so as a lark, I ended up making some using the pickle juice from some Bread & Butter pickles. I figured if it sucked it would be a one time experiment since I needed to use up the ingredients. It surprised me as being very good and I have continued to make it ever since.

  6. Please for the love of God, DO NOT USE A MANDOLIN WITHOUT A FINGERGUARD! I've sliced of the tip of one of my fingers and it took 6 months to fully heal. The sensation never returned to the fingertip so the risk seriously does not worth the convenience.
You can also get cut resistant gloves for less than a tenner, so there is no excuse not to use one.
