Cheap & Easy Greek Meatballs (Juicy Keftedes Recipe for Weeknight Dinner)

Ground beef is the secret to this amazing cheap meal! Learn to make authentic Greek Meatballs (Keftedes), a tender and juicy Mediterranean dish that’s surprisingly easy to make. My recipe features a burst of fresh flavour from parsley, mint, garlic, and oregano. Serve these freezer-friendly meatballs simply with tzatziki, pita, and Greek salad, or as per this recipe, simmer them in a rich tomato-cinnamon sauce for a hearty weeknight dinner with rice or orzo. A minor point: mint is not something the Greeks use much. It is more of a Cypriot thing. I think it has partly become more mainstream because Greek chefs (e.g., Petretzikis) use it to add a bit of exotic flavour for foreign audiences.
