Makes 10-12 large Kozhukattai:

For the Ukkarai Filling:
1/4 cup Moong dal
1 cup Water
2 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Rava
1/4 cup Coconut
1 cup Jaggery (150g ) for extra sweetness use 200g
pinch of Cardamom powder
1-2 tsp Ghee

For the outer layer:
1 cup Rice flour (idiyappam flour)
1/4 tsp Salt
1-2 tsp Oil
boiling Water
