Ingredients of Chilli chicken semi gravy recipe restaurant style:

For marination-

– 200 gm chicken
– 1 egg
– 2 tbs cornflour
– 1 tbs plain flour
– salt
– 1/2 tsp black-pepper powder
– 1 tsp soya sauce
– 1 tbs ginger-garlic paste
– oil for deep fry

For gravy-

– 1 tbs oil
– 1 tbs garlic ( chopped )
– 1 tbs green chillies ( chopped )
– 1 onion ( cut into cubes )
– 1 capcicum ( cut into cubes )
– 1 tbs tomato ketchup
– 1 tsp soya sauce
– 1 tbs vinegar
– salt
– 1/2 tsp black-pepper powder

Method for Chilli chicken semi gravy recipe restaurant style:

– Marinate the chicken with salt, pepper powder, soya sauce, egg, giger-garlic paste, cornflour and plain flour. Mix everything well
and set aside for 1 hour.
– Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces on medium flame. Flip when one side is done. Fry till nicely golden brown.
Take out and keep aside. Repeat the process for the remaining.
– Heat oil in a pan and add garlic and green chillies. Fry for 30 sec. Now add onion and capcicum. Saute for 1 minute.
– Add soya sauce, red chilli sauce, tomato sauce and vinegar. Mix well.
– In a bowl add 1 tsp cornflour and some water . Mix well to make a slurry. Add it to the gravy. (*It helps to thicken the gravy)
– Add fried chickens, salt and pepper powder. Mix well.
