Part 6 of #15minutemeals is this classic ginger beef scallion dish. a heart warming dish that you can’t go wrong with. I know i can’t do it without a wok, but i don’t have one yet, but the flavors are still so good without one, it makes it worth it to try without.

Ingredients:
– 16 oz sliced beef
– 2 tbsp corn starch
– 2 tbsp oyster sauce
– 1tbsp maple syrup
– 1 tbsp tamari
– 1 tbsp sesame oil
– 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
– 1/2 tsp white pepper
– 2 tsp potato starch
– pinch of salt
– 2 oz water
– 1/2 onion, sliced
– 3 scallions, sliced
– 1 inch Ginger, sliced

method:
1) add the beef and corn starch into a bowl to tenderise the meat.
2) combine the oyster sauce, maple syrup tamari, sesame oil, shaoxing wine, white pepper and potato starch into a bowl. Mix and add in salt and water to desired taste and thickness
3) add oil to a super duper hot pan add in the ginger and saute for 1-2 minutes. then add in your onion and green onion, and give a good mix before adding in your beef
4) as the beef start brown add the sauce and cook till fully cooked. don’t forget to scarp the pan to get all that goodness. add in some extra water if it looks too dry
5) add in the greens of the scallions for 30 seconds before turning off the heat.
6) serve with rice and eat straight from the pan!
