Cloverleaf Rolls Recipe – Milk Bread Rolls



Pillow-soft and buttery Cloverleaf Rolls made with milk dough which has an unbelievably soft and cloud-like texture. You’ll love the delicious layers when you pull the 3 ‘clover leaves’ apart.

BREAD ROLLS INGREDIENTS:
►3 Tbsp very warm water (110˚F-115˚F)
►2 1/4 tsp or 1 packet active dry yeast
►1 cup low-fat milk, warm (105-110˚F)
►5 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted or very soft, plus more for the pan
►3 Tbsp granulated sugar
►1 large egg, room temperature
►1 tsp salt
►3 1/2 cups bread flour, divided (add an extra 1/4 cup if needed)

Topping:
►2 Tbsp butter, melted
►1 tsp kosher salt

  4. Hi Natasha. Does the milk need to be low fat and can it be replaced by oat or nut milk (which is low fat…)? Also, will all-purpose flour work or will these buns completely fail without bread flour? Thanks so much.

  7. Thanks 😊 I made them today with my daughter who suggested put some of chocolate chips inside small dough balls
    so we have six with chocolate and six with salt it’s so delicious 😋

  8. Can you cut this recipe in half with success? I cook for two and there's no way we need to have a dozen of these in the kitchen…if you know what I mean:) I don't know if I can wait for a reply (they look so good!). I may just go ahead and give it a shot.
