On this week’s episode of The Korean Vegan podcast, I answer the most frequently received question: Why did I go vegan? For some people, it’s a pretty straightforward answer. For me, however, it’s a little complicated. There were so many things that started my journey towards The Korean Vegan. But it wasn’t until my dad landed in the hospital that I made that final commitment. You can hear the full, unabridged version on my podcast (links below). This corn pasta will be added to the TKV Meal Planner next week!

I clicked on bout chicken. They were for eating chicken. I commented. Chicken chicken gives me breathing difficulties. They replied, chicken I'm inaccurate and I should see a doctor if I can't breathe. A doctor doesn't need to tell me, I'm right or wrong.
I feel sorry for your father ofcourse, but you know every american who are eating meat is coming from fast food chains combining that with processed grains and sugars, it will be an ugly end..
This video should be titled "Why I Went Plant-Based"
Hi dear..
Im your old friend !
Hope you are doing great !
Im big fan of your channel
liked+fully watched+subscribed to your channel already 🥰
Such a beautiful content & very helpful
Thanks for sharing this
Lots of love❤
hope you do the same🤗🙏🏻
You don't have to go to church to believe in God, Church is soully to spend time in fellowship, even though it's a big part of the Christian lifestyle you don't need to make it all the time and it doesn't matter where you are. Because.. God is everywhere, and he is always listening. I hope you and your father are doing well, All your story's are heart renching and I enjoy listening to them!
I showed my grandmother one of your videos (she’s also Korean) she loved it! She said “Oh I love those foods!” She complemented them and said she liked how they were displayed! :)❤
That's why my uncle stopped smoking (plants..) in the 70s. He was on a plane that hit terrible turbulence and he prayed to make it through and he'd give that vice up. He never touched it again
This is a spurious correlation
I was born into it though
I'm vegan too
sounds like a nice shit
We share a similar story. I stopped eating meat after my dad’s doctor visit with his Oncologist 🙏🏾❤️
I went vegan when I moved out because I can’t cook meat💀
This made me cry
Can you mention all the ingredients that you used?
I don’t think it’s because of meat. It’s more like your body starts to slow down and aren’t eating the vitamins to replace what you have lost because of old age.
I had an early health scare actually caused by my genetics and eating too much meat. But vegan or vegetarian is not for me… I still eat less meat though. I don't wanna die
“Just please don’t let him die, and I’ll never eat meat again” wow, chills went down my spine. Your stories are so powerful.
My dad recently passed away from bladder cancer, he used to eat lots of meat😭😭
Fun fact;
If you eat healthy, you’ll still die
I got goosebumps!! I used do these “sacrifices” too, even gave up eating meat but only for a month, this felt too close to home
Your voice sounds like a mom telling stories to their kids while braiding their hair.
So much respect for you. I hope your father recovers. And I hope that your family is finds the strength to go through this difficult time. Sending love.
Oh! Woah.
It's also mainly because of how the quality suffers etc of the meat.
I suddenly felt a little shock and cry (sorry) listening to your prayer.
May your father and family stay blessed and in good health.
I like your voice
Ur voice is gorgeous
"…Just don't let him die, and I'll never eat meat again." Like eating meat is a sin.
God works in mysterious ways… even when you don't know it he's always watching, waiting for the right moment to help you. You kept your promise to God and he has blessed you. I feel so alone at home, but listening to your stories always make me feel less so. Thank you so much for being and growing into the person you are, god bless you. In short I'm so glad that you are the Korean Vegan.
😢
just hearing this made me tear up. im 14 years old and my dad got diagnosed with prostate cancer a year ago. my family tried to keep it hidden from me as to not make me worry but they didnt hide it very well. i act like im fine and that i dont know about it infront of my family but when im alone i just cant help but cry about it. i want to ask for help but at the same time i cant bring myself to tell my friends how i feel. ive been living with so much anxiety each and every day and hearing this made me feel like im not alone
I dare y'all to read up on the benefits of a carnivore diet 🥴
Try Indian food with some spices
I lost my father last year his smoker and eats meat and alot of fats all the time never like to eat vegetables.. it's traumatized me that's why I want to be healthy now
You also try Indian food… Mostly Indian food is pure vegetarian…
Can you post your recipes in longer vids pls
I m sorry it looks like vomit
Eating meat is healthy. Eating carbs isn’t
You should try Indian recipes the vegetarian one most of them are vegan and the rest are super easy to turn into vegan recipes
Eat 50% raw you will live longer
Honestly, I don't think going plant based is going to prevent all kinds of cancer. My family in India is largely vegan or vegetarian. They have lived like this their entire life. And we have had our fair share of members who died of cancer.
Since you are vegan, i belive your dad is Fine or at least did not die of cancer, and i'm glad for that! 💖
I'm Sorry, i would like the recipe 😭
An all meat diet is just as good
I know so many people who have suffered cancer. Two have sadly passed on to a different place now. One got prostate cancer recently.
He still died tho so didnt help lol
Wow!! That's a testimony. I'm not a big meat eater🤔
Awww….😔😣
You should look at the correlation between Cancer and general and inflammation and other problems and vegetable oils and cottonseed oils and a lot of oil so there's only a few good oils out there most of them are rancid when you get them and have shit to make them so they don't smell rancid or taste rancid but they are and slowly poison your body you should really do research on it it's enlightening very very enlightening
What is that green veggie??
