Creamy Garlic Tomato Sauce –
1 Tbsp (20ml) – Olive Oil
5 – Garlic Cloves, Minced
4 – Large Tomatoes, Diced
2 – Bell Peppers (Capsicum), Roughly Chopped
1 tsp (2.5g) – Onion Powder
1/2 tsp (1g) – Dried Oregano
1/2 tsp (1g) – Dried Basil
2 tsp (5g) – Sweet Paprika
3/4 Cup (180ml) – Chicken Stock
225g (7.9oz) – Cream Cheese
Seasoning To Taste
Beef & Pasta –
750g (1.6lbs) – Beef Mince (Ground Beef) 90% Lean
1 tsp (2.5g) – Onion Powder
1/2 tsp (1g) – Dried Oregano
1/2 tsp (1g) – Dried Basil
2 tsp (5g) – Sweet Paprika
500g (1.1lb) – Pasta Of Choice
50g (1.7oz) – Parmesan Cheese (Optional)
Seasoning To Taste
Recipe Notes –
You can use chicken mince or chicken breast and thigh if you don’t want beef. If you’re using chicken mince, follow the recipe as instructed. For chicken breasts or thighs, dice the chicken into even-sized pieces. The chicken breast will take 6 minutes to sear, whereas the thigh will need 10 minutes.
Parmesan cheese can be added to the pasta whilst cooking. To do so, add it in when you add the pasta and sauce.
You can add spinach to this dish if you wish to do so.

Can I substitute beef mince with turkey mince?
Iβve made this like 6 or 7 times now and can attest, itβs a great recipe. I have found that swapping the fresh tomatoes out for a large can of whole, peeled, San Marzanos significantly reduces prep time without losing anything as fast as taste in my experience. Just add them to the peppers once they have started to soften since the canned tomatoes donβt need as much time to break down.

I'm plugging in the ingredients for this dish and not getting the same macros. Using 750g of 93% lean beef and 500g of pasta, divided by 5, already gets me to 660 calories. Not including olive oil, cream cheese, veggies, Parmesan.
Anyone have another breakdown for this? I'm going to divide the dish into 7 servings but that's a pretty significant difference between what Jack is proposing for macros.

Why do I feel like adding in a vegetable to this meal?
I don't really understand the macros. What is the serving size shown? If you portion what you cooked into 5 dishes, you will have 100 grams of uncooked equivalent pasta in each which is about 70g of carbs. But the macro you show says its 46 grams? Even if that was wrong, and everything else was right. 100g of pasta is 370ish calories and 25 grams of fat is 225 calories which means its almost 600 calories without even accounting for the 55g of protein claimed.
Not trying to accuse you of being malicious, but I feel like maybe I'm just missing something?
