Creamy miso pasta – savory goodness in 30 minutes! Have you tried using miso in things besides miso soup? Give this a try and you might start adding this umami bomb to everything!

Ingredient list:
Your favorite pasta – 1 serving
1 tsp salt (for boiling water)
Pork belly, thinly sliced – 200 g
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
White pepper – 1 tsp
Green onion, chopped – 2 tbsp
Garlic, chopped – 2 cloves
Sugar – 1 tsp
Miso paste – 1.5 tbsp
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Soy milk (or milk) – 1/2 cup
Pasta water – 1.5 tbsp
Soft-boiled egg – 1 (optional)

Steps:
1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Marinate pork belly with soy sauce and white pepper. Sear in a skillet until crispy and golden, about 2 minutes per side.
3. Add garlic and green onion to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Mix sugar, miso paste, soy sauce, and soy milk. Pour into the skillet and stir until smooth. Add pasta water if needed.
5. Toss pasta in the skillet until fully coated in the sauce.
6. Plate the pasta, top with pork belly, and garnish with green onion. Optional: Add a soft-boiled egg.
