Dough recipe
1 cup of warm water
1 small russet potato [boiled and mashed] about ⅓cup
1 egg
⅓cup powder sugar
¼ cup salted butter
¼ tsp salt
¾ tbs yeast
3 ¼ cups flour [a little more to help knead the dough]
Cream cheese filling
1 wheel of triangle cheese (pop in microwave for a few seconds to soften the cheese)
¼cup sugar
Points:
Knead your dough until you get tired. If you have a stand mixer, knead it until it passes the window test (gluten is developed)
Let the dough rise for 1h or until doubled in size. Shape dough into balls, then rise again for 15 minutes. Shape dough into crescent rolls, then rise again for 20 minutes or your desired size.
Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F until golden.
Brush with honey and butter. Heat honey and unsalted butter in the microwave, mix well.
