Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Recipe – Easy, Juicy & Full of Flavor



Looking for a foolproof oven baked chicken recipe that’s juicy on the inside and full of bold, savory flavor? This delicious dish uses a simple oil and butter marinade combined with a powerhouse blend of spices to create the ultimate baked chicken. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or meal prep!

Ingredients:
• 1 whole chicken (or bone-in pieces of your choice)
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 2 tablespoons melted butter
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
• 1 teaspoon Adobo seasoning
• ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
• ½ teaspoon dried thyme
• 1 teaspoon dried parsley
• ½ teaspoon dried rosemary

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Clean and pat dry your chicken pieces. Place them in a large bowl or dish.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the oil and melted butter.
4. Add all the dry seasonings to the oil-butter mixture and stir until fully combined to create your marinade.
5. Gently lift the skin of the chicken and use a spoon or your fingers to insert the marinade underneath the skin, spreading it evenly. Then rub any remaining marinade on top of the skin.
6. Place the chicken in a baking dish or on a sheet pan, skin-side up.
7. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
8. Remove from oven and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving for maximum flavor and juiciness.

  2. Your reducing the height of the chicken reminds me of when my family lived in Italy in the 60s. We managed to get a Thanksgiving turkey from the military PX, but the stove & oven were very very small by US standards. My mother prepared & stuffed the turkey, only to discover it literally was too high to fit in the oven. My father took a look and got his hammer & hit it hard to beak the breast bone to flatten it enough to push into the oven 😄.
