Ingredients for Dates Puree:
Dates (seedless & soaked) 1 cup
Ingredients for Dates Kheer:
Rice (soaked) 1 cup
Milk 1 ½ liter
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Dates puree
Sugar 1 cup
Pistachios & Almonds (chopped) as required
Dates (julienne) as required
Directions for Dates Puree Preparation:
In a blender add soaked dates and blend them well. Set aside.
Note: Don’t discard the water used for soaking the dates. Blend the dates in that water.
Directions for Dates Kheer Preparation:
Take the soaked rice and break it in hands into small grains.
Now in a pot heat milk and add rice, cardamom powder and cook for 15-20 mins.
Now add dates puree, sugar and cook for 10-15 mins or until thickens.
Now dish it out and garnish it with pistachios, almonds and dates. Serve and enjoy.
Prep time: 20-25 mins
Cooking time: 40-45 mins
Servings: 5-6
