I get stuff in the sprayer holes I pull them off once in a while and wash them out too!
The Kitchen Aid one we had at our old house had a garbage disposal built in, it was awesome and I never had it serviced for over 20 years! Miss that thing! Just tossed in one of those deodorizer packs once every 1-3 months.

#1 stop using PODs. Or at least use some extra dish detergent for prewash, then POD in main detergent bin for main wash. PREWASH is Important in dishwashers. PODs skip the prewash.
Don't use the detergent packs. Use regular powder or gel. Make sure to use the prewash container in the door. One other tip, your dishwasher doesn't heat the prewash water, so run your hot tap just before starting your dishwasher.
If you want to use detergent packs for the main wash. Still add a little powder or gel for the prewash.
I scrub mine with vinegar and a brush – it’s a fairly deep one, and greasy stuff tends to collect in the hard-to reach parts
I wash my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. There is nothing coming off of them to get stuck in a cup.
Dishwashers need a fan to blow to create cyclonic flow to dry off the dishes faster. Why they haven’t done this yet is confusing as hell. It would save soooo much energy.

You should clean your dishwasher every six months. There’s a great video by pan the organizer that shows a good way to do it!
