Great job. I have built a brick bbq surround. I wasn't sure what to use for the coals to go on. I was thinking of just using an old concrete slab like you have but have since heard that they can crack due to the heat of the coals / logs. Will it be safe to use a slab like you have? Have you had any problems with the slab yet?
