Does Red Rhubarb = Ripe? #Shorts 

My plant is probably 8 years old and it produces green stalks. It took me awhile to realize it was never going to be red.
I cook it with a little water and lots of sugar and it's delicious jam!

How do you cook rhubarb? Does it belong to the celery family? Very little is spoken of that vegetable.

I never had this.

My friend told me you can just eat these raw and they taste really good dipped in some sugar with each bite!

I'm just amazed that people make pies out of it.

So how do you know when it is ripe?

God. I miss my old rhubarb patch.
