My plant is probably 8 years old and it produces green stalks. It took me awhile to realize it was never going to be red.
I cook it with a little water and lots of sugar and it's delicious jam!

How do you cook rhubarb? Does it belong to the celery family? Very little is spoken of that vegetable.
So when is it ripe?
I never had this.
Also, you usually peel it and then it’s all green anyway so it loses a lot of the colour.
My friend told me you can just eat these raw and they taste really good dipped in some sugar with each bite!
