Looks good, but you spelled chopped suey wrong.
Looks like homemade hamburger helper and tasty.
Close to my homemade chili Mac with hot peppers and a chili spice packet instead of the Italian spices and garlic. Add a half gallon of tomato juice for a soupier mixture and add saltines in the bowl.
I come from family of 8 sons and 2 daughters. We had goulash a lot. My dad was a good cook.
The way a Hungarian knows this dish is more like a soup. It’s gulyas. The s is pronounced like an sh in the Magyar language…….just a fun fact….you never know when Jane Lynch is going to ask the question on The Weakest Link.😂
Absolutely gross 😮😮

Green bell pepper is bitter. The red are the sweetest as they ripened the longest. Never use green bells
This is called American Goulash. It's a quasy Italian dish that's old Betty Crocker recipe. Most families today have a family recipe for it. It was designed as a simple recipe for American families during lean times.
Your's is a slight variation with tomato soup, and including cheese during the cookie (rather than a garnish).
63 years old and I remember my mom making goulash. For a family of 10 kids, had to make something filling. Goulash and homemade bread and butter ❤❤mom never used tomato soup, simply tomato sauce. When I make it, I used tomato sauce and petite diced tomatoes and so on.
Now you've done it. It's just 11:00 am here and now I'm starving!
mmmmmmmmmm looking sooooo gd
From Minnesota and we had this growing up. My mother-in-law called it “red hot dish”. It’s my husband’s favorite. I’m curious to try the tomato soup in it and incorporate some more veggies as you have done. I only have added celery and onion
if you cook the macaroni first,do you avoid all that starch that would be cooked out and drained out?
We called it Goop, basically anything that goes with a bit of hamburger or sausage and onions. Most of the time tomatoes in some form or orher. Tomato soup is just roux with a little tomato juice, I sometimes open a can of mushroom soup, heat it up and call it gravy!
Yummy!
