Not a good idea, I placed my measuring glass cup in the microwave for two minutes. Stirred put back in for one minute put it on the counter, turned my back and it shattered. Thank goodness I had turned my back, proceed with caution people.

I don't own a microwave or airfryer…I know I know I am one of the 5 in the US who does not own these appliances, lol. It is frustrating how many recipes include a microwave step and do not tell me how to do the step without a microwave. This one is easy, but it isn't always so.
Microwave? Thanks, love, but can we do that over the stove instead?
I'm surprised you didn't mention to cover the cup so that the oil doesn't spatter and spew and make a mess in the microwave.
