What if you don’t have a microwave? Do you sauté the ginger?
i didn't know about the tenderizing enzyme of ginger and marinated chicken with it, the whole thing just turned into a mush
Do you guys realize how many of us don't have access to a grill!? Give us some alternatives, like maybe a way to broil these. You have kitchen staff to experiment with what rack to put them on, how many inches from the broiler flame/electric element, and at what point to turn them. It won't be as good as briquets, but it's doable with the right instructions.👍✌🗽

That looks pretty dang good!! I'm gonna have to try it but I'm also gonna try combining the peanut sauce with butter to make compound butter to melt over the chicken skewers because butter makes everything better and compound butter is even better!!

Can I sustitute galandal for ginger? Galandal is not available in my country.
I think that the protease enzyme zingibain can only be denatured in the microwave. That contradicts millions of cooks in southeast Asia, who have done it in a wok for thousands of years. But never mind, I can't make this because I threw away my microwave. Just kidding. I already know, but I'm disgusted by the dependence on these microwaves and other gadgets. I'd like to see some ATK episodes without modern technology, Please just grind it in mortar and give it some high heat for a minute. (Does it really need to be so different than garlic?) I know that's not your mission statement, which is to sell microwaves etc. but I am constantly annoyed by the failure to adhere to real cooking. Especially the cooking about other countries where they don't have microwaves. What do you call that, condescension? Or ignorance? Sorry, ATK, but maybe you've gone too far to the Dark Side. /End of Rant
