  1. Hi!!! I made this bread 3 times and is delicious !!… The only difference is the time to bake ..I live in Henderson NV is too cold right now and I bake in 55 min.. No big difference!!!

  2. I made this today with the toasted walnuts. I love the bread, was not crazy about the nutmeg though. This is a recipe I Will make over and over! This guy is excellent at explaining . I love his recipes!

  3. Like all of preppies recipes but when I first started looking at preppy he I loved it cuz he was the only one that I looked at that bakes who always had no wasted movements he talked and moved at the same time but now he has gotten like everyone else he has to stop wave his hand in the air and get very dramatic about what he's thinking and it's a little boring to watch when I want to get right down to the recipe and you know all of this theatrics we can do without all the waving of the hands in the air and all of this stuff and talking and waving hand he used to just talk and work no word was wasted movement he moved his hands when his mouth was moving everything worked together but now he's got to stop and wave his hand and it's still getting boring and I love his I love his recipe everything turns out so nice but I can't handle it you know I just can't handle all the talk and I have to put it on mute and put captions on it I just can't stand the to hear talking Because a lot of it is wasted words you know just wasted words, and very little movement. With him it use to work together. Hand and mouth. No wasted words nor hand movements, everything were working together. I stopped looking at all of the rest of the cooking channels because of that one reason.. Too! Much talk not enough action.!!

  4. Great just what I was looking for John! I love the parchment "handles", will use on the Cranberry Orange bread and the savory olive loaf that I'm making for Thanksgiving Day at my daughter's as well. Thank you

  5. Made this today and I left my apples just chopped. I also borked it up by adding double the baking powder – oops! And my final messup was I substituted pumpkin pie spice for the spices because … it's what I had at home! And guess what? It still came out AMAZING and my family is raving over it. I will definitely be tucking this recipe away to use again and again. Simple, easy, CHEAP, and delicious!

  6. Hi I am back well let me tell ya'll I made this recipe and holy smokes !! I made 2 loafs and it was so easy. 7. This looks so delicious and I am for sure making some loafs today as soon as I'm done watching this video my husband and I were given a lot of apples and I mean a lot and I have already given like 20 away and still have 50 left so yes I'll be baking and looking for more ideas lol But I have a question for you can you freeze apples? Please let me know and thank you for these simple easy recipes.

  8. I tried making this today with the following modifications due to availability challenges:
    1. I used vegetable oil instead of butter;
    2. I had no nutmeg so i used 1 tsp. Of cinnamon powder instead of 3/4 tsp.;
    3. I used a combination of dry and wet steam for "improvised oven". If you're a Filipino, you know. I highly suggest to use the wet steam method to prevent burning the bottom. Check your cake after 30 minutes if it's done. If not yet done, check every 10 minutes. Don't forget to use a clean cloth for the lid, you don't want water to drip to your cake;
    3. I used a 7 x 3" baking tray. No spillage;
    4. I used 170 grams of unpeeled Fuji apples, and added some raisins and toasted peanuts. Walnuts are expensive here.

    Result: really tasty! I can't wait to try this recipe using a real oven.

    Edit: i had the bread cooling but when my son saw it, he demanded to have some. It was that good! Thank you John for your wonderful recipe. To those who wanna try this, go and do it ♥️

  9. One of my MOST ENJOYABLE videos by you! You had me cracking up with your natural human error transparency, such a fun video. My Apple 🍎 bread came out fabulous! I also agree have apples, MUST have cinnamon! You know how much we L❤️VE you! 🥰😎

  10. wow😺this is my new breakfast. I used a homemade paleo flour blend, 2 c almond flour, 1-1/3 arrowroot flour and 2/3 coconut flour. The extra dryness of those flours absorbed the moisture very evenly. I toasted the walnut halves with a little olive oil and honey. Do you think I could add another egg for a bit of extra protein? Thank you for sharing! Wonderful presentation!!
