Remove the membrane off the back of the ribs using a butter knife and a paper towel, just like you see in the video. Then use some California Olive Ranch olive oil ( as a binder and coat generously with your favorite rib or bbq rubs…. I used the Bearded Butchers Hollywood rub and it was perfect! Cover a large baking sheet with foil and place the ribs in the oven for 2 hours at 350F with the oven rack set close to the bottom. After 2 hours remove the ribs, set the oven to 450F, and coat the ribs with barbecue sauce. Return the ribs to the oven for 10min at 450F. Turn the top broiler on and leave the ribs in for 3 more minutes (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIBS ON THE BOTTOM RACK OR YOU WILL BURN YOUR RIBS). Remove and let them rest for a few. This is a great time to take pictures and brag to your friends! These are better than slow cooker ribs and instant pot ribs. Believe me….there is nothing wrong with meat in the oven!

Why did you remove them from the foil prior to putting sauce on them and continue cooking at 450?
Only variations that I recommend – massage the seasoning in with both hands. And wrap with the foil. Perfect.
You mean I no longer have to do the 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 method?
Really Dumbo move they look burnt who wants burnt ribs😝🤪
Could you finish these off on the grill instead of the oven?
Lip smacking good! Living in Florida, sometimes it's to hot to mess around with the grill! This oven recipe was 👍
they look somewhat dried out
idiot video
Pat dry the ribs, remove the membrane. On both sides rub with olive oil, season with spices. Place on baking sheet lined with foil, cook at 350F for 2 hours. Get rid of the foil and replace with new foil, then set temp to 450F, baste with BBQ Sauce on top side and sides. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes. At this point you need to check the BBQ sauce and make sure you are not burning.
This is my take, not exact as video….
It's just opposite for me. I live on the surface of the sun with humidity in the 70%'s (Florida) and maybe its my age but, I cant do the heat and flies anymore so this application may be my next option.
350 is way too high
Just curious if I can just keep them in the foil the whole time? For ease of cleanup.
I've been cooking ribs in the oven for years I usually wrap mine in tin foil going to cook them. I then put them on the grill with the barbecue sauce until the barbecue sauce caramelizes. I'm going to try it in the oven the way you did it. I saw you had some Rufus teague's barbecue sauce. There isn't a better barbecue sauce on the market. I prefer the Rufus teague touch of heat. It's not real super hot just a little bite to it
My favorite binding agent for oven Ribs, yep you guessed it, BACON Grease with smoke flavor mixed in. I mean what tastes better than Bacon.
Perfect method
It's always good to have a plan B! My Traeger controller just went out, so I know what recipe I will use if needed!
I made these for Memorial Day and everyone loved them. Great recipe.
I'm making these rn. I bet they'll be good. Smells good already!
Thanks for the info 😊
Why didn’t you just leave the foil on….geez…..men!😅
Great quick and concise video really appreciate it. Every oven is different. But three minutes on the top broiler might be a bit too much. I would suggest a minute and a half. You can put it back in for another minute and a half if you choose
Still watching this in 2025 (because I keep forgetting the time and temps haha). I LOVE this video. Thank you big boss!
Awesome video, easy to follow and great product at the end!
I am drunk waiting for my Longhorn ribs to finish cooking and I know since having them before they are damn good quality. 👌
