Easy Banana Bread Recipe (No Mixer Needed)

Easy Banana Bread (No Mixer Needed)

Some banana bread recipes make it too complicated—stand mixers, specialty ingredients, lots of cleanup. This one keeps it simple, just like it should be. One bowl, a spoon, and a few basic ingredients. That’s it.

🥄 Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup melted butter
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon

🧁 Instructions:
Mash the bananas in a large bowl.
Add sugar, egg, and melted butter. Stir to combine.
Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir gently—just until combined.
Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 325°F for 50–55 minutes.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely before slicing.
🍌 Best served warm with a little butter or margarine.

This recipe uses pantry basics and takes just a few minutes to throw together. It’s cozy, budget-friendly, and always hits the spot.

  1. So I just tried this recipe and it came out phenomenal. You know what I did to am it up the second time I made it. I had some apple apples that were going soft so I chopped them up very very finally and I put them in with the banana oh my gosh, it taste so good

  2. also make sure to read your flour and make sure it's not self-rising because then when you had the baking powder to it you get a big mess in the oven. wasn't my kitchen I wasn't the one who bought the flower I said hey can you grab me some flour and they said oh yeah here you go and I didn't even look because I never bought that kind before. big mess

  3. I’m glad you included the tip for the batter to still be lumpy. It’s also a good tip for muffins too. Lumpy batter keeps quick breads and muffins from being too chewy – stirring too much causes the gluten proteins to start bonding which is good for yeast bread but not quick breads and muffins.

  4. as a person who makes banana bread weekly heres some things ive noticed
-i use 1/3 cup of sugar still tastes almost the same just less calories
-vanilla extract is overrated does nothing imo
-adding ALOT of cinnanom gives it character

  5. The dry ingredients should be mixed first because they should be well mixed before wet ingredients are added for the reason you mentioned. After they're mixed together they should not be over mixed. I've in my cooking journey have done it the other way and have had taste mishap. Also, it really is a baking rule. Dry first, wet second, then mix.

I do enjoy your content. No shade, honestly. It's just that if you're going to break the rules, the worst one is not to do, dry first.
