  1. Easy to make and delicious. First we toasted and had with jelly, then we substituted biscuits with slices of bread and had it with gravy. Lastly we let the last slices sit out overnight and made french toast the following morning. It was all good!

  2. Hi John. I have an even simpler recipe for beer bread. 1 packet(500g) self-raising flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 "dumpy" beer (340ml I think). Mix together and bake for approximately 50 minutes at 180*C. For extra flavor you can add herbs and/or grated cheese into or onto the bread. We mostly make it for a braai (South African BBQ). It is also good with soups.
We also make one with buttermilk and white onion soup powder instead of adding salt. Lovely flavor for those who don't like the flavor of beer.

  3. John is the best. This looks like I need to try the recipe… FOR SCIENCE! 🤣🤣 I'll be using Guinness because it's my favorite beer. Thank you John for the quick and easy recipe. Also wanted to add that the bloopers are so great. Even my daughter enjoys watching these and the bloopers. She says. "I love John Kennel." Keep it coming. Have a great Thanksgiving.

  4. To anyone who is reading this, there is someone waiting for you. He has been watching you. He knows your name and how many hair is on your head. He knows you more than you. He seen when you cry or when you’re filled with joy. That someone, is your creator, God! ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ ““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”. He wants to have a relationship with you. Seek him all your heart and soul and you will find him! Repent(turn from your sins and turn to God) and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior! Remember he loves you and so do I!😊❤️

  5. I would consider making this for my husband (I do not like beer personally) but I have a "stupid question" if anyone cares to answer… my husband drinks Bud Light Lime… would that particular beer be a good or bad idea for such a recipe??

Otherwise I might check out the quick bread playlist to see what sort of simple recipes are there, and that do not involve beer lol.

Great video, and thanks again John!

  6. I do not drink beer or even eat bread any often, but as a German, this is very intriguing even for me.
Thank you for sharing this interesting recipe! I might try it out sometime.🍻🍞

  7. Beer bread is delicious. I found it a little plain with the ordinary beer, so used a very strong dark beer in a second loaf (I know nothing about beer! Lol!) and it turned out great. The dark color of the beer did not stain the flour at all, and the loaf came out a lovely off-white, just like the original loaf. I love how all I needed was a bowl and a rubber spatula. Will now be my go-to beer bread. Look forward to adding other flavors to it. Thanks for the recipe!
