EASY Crab Pasta Recipe!



A fresh, tasty 15 minute seafood pasta that is spectacular eaten al fresco with a glass of chilled wine. Irish crab is such a great ingredient to use in your cooking, it’s seriously versatile, tasty and you can buy it fresh or prepared. It’s naturally nutritious and brim-full of protein, Omega 3 and essential vitamins and minerals. Tossed through zesty courgette with al dente linguine it makes for a perfect little summer supper!

Serves: 4

Ingredients (US & METRIC):

400g/ 14 oz linguine
1 tbsp olive oil
30g/ ¼ stick unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, finely sliced
1 red chilli, deseeded & finely chopped
Finely grated zest of a lemon and a good squeeze of juice
2 courgettes, julienned or coarsely grated
50g/ 2 oz brown crab meat
200g/ 7 oz white crab meat
3 tbsp finely chopped chervil or parsley
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper

  1. Donal, tried this dish earlier this week. I must say, I really enjoyed making it (those flavours…WOW). However, I was expecting a bit more taste, more punch. I think this dish really need a generous bit of salt and extra garlic to give that typically 'fish pasta' taste. Maybe boiling the pasta with fish stock and use the seeds of the chillies? Not sure, but will try this next time. (Note: I did not use the brown crab)
