Easy Fruit Filled Bread Recipes in 2 Ways! Breakfast Pastry

We are making 2 fruit filled pastry using same dough! One with fresh apple filling and the other ones with fruit jams. They are prepared quickly and easy to make, taste incredible. Stop going to bakery, make these for breakfast.

💥 Fruit Filled Pastry Ingredients:
2 cups (260g) flour
1/3 cup (80g) sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 cup (120g) plain yogurt or sour cream
1/3 cup (80g) butter
2 apples
fruit jams of your choice – I used apricot and strawberry jam
powdered sugar (optional)

💥 Fruit Filled Bread Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder and mix.
2. Add egg, yogurt and butter. Mix by hands, knead until form a soft dough. Dough should be little sticky. Cover with plastic wrap and keep in the refrigerator for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
3. Peel and cut apples in small pieces and place it in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Add sugar and splash of water and cook apples until soft.
4. Preheat the oven to 356F (180C).
5. Flour the work surface, cut the dough in half and roll it out to a 14 inch round, 1/8 inch thick. Using a pastry or pizza cutter, slice 8 equal pieces.
6. Add small spoon of apple filling, make 1/4 inch cut on top and roll it tight and pinch the sides. Place the bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. For the second dough, we’ll fill it with fruit jams. Roll out the dough to a 14 inch round, 1/8 inch thick. Cut 16 equal slices. Make small cut on top and fill with your favorite jam. I used apricot and strawberry jam. Roll it tight and pinch the sides.
8. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
9. Transfer the bagels to a cooling rack.
10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional).
11. Try the bagel buns with coffee or tea.
