Ingredients Needed (Yeast Mixture)
1 cup lukewarm water
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. Sugar (brown or white)
2 Tbsp. Yeast (dry)
**Mix everything together in a cup and set aside to ferment. Keep in warm place for about 15 minutes or until it doubles in size,
4 cups white flour
2 cups brown wheat flour
6 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. melted unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup warm water
**In a bowl, add all flour, salt and brown sugar, melted butter, then stir in yeast mixture and warm water. Knead until it does not stick to your hands. Put aside to ferment, until it doubles in size.
**Using the banneton proofing baskets, cut the dough in half, put in each basket
** cover the baskets with a plastic, or cloth and let it stand for about a couple of hours, or overnight in the refrigerator.
**Bake at 375 F. for about 30 minutes or until is golden brown
