🍰 Ingredients:

Peach slices in a Tin or Fresh

Plain Flour 175g (1 cup, 3 tablespoons)
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Sugar 150g (¾ cup)
Butter softened 150g (⅔ cup)
3 Eggs (medium size)
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Milk 60ml (¼ cup)

Homemade Custard:

2 Egg Yolks
Sugar 50g (¼ cup)
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Corn Starch/ Corn flour 50g (about ½ cup)
Milk 360ml (1 ½ cups)

Measuring cup size – 240ml
Baking pan 20×20 cm (8×8 inch)

Now bake in a preheated oven at:
First for 10 minutes,
Then for 25-30 minutes

METHOD:

Make the Custard:

Add all the ingredients into a saucepan.
Stir continuously over medium heat
After 1-2 minutes the mixture thickens
Turn off the heat
Put in a bowl
Cover with a cling film
And set aside

Make the cake:

Add all the dry ingredients into a larger bowl
Mix well
Add in the wet ingredients into the same bowl
Whisk for about 1 minute
Stir in between

Add half of the batter in to the baking pan

Now bake in a preheated oven at 175c (350f) for 10-12 minutes
Now place the Peach slices over the baked cake
Cover them with the Custard
(Make sure to fill every gap)
Pour the remaining cake batter over the custard

Now bake again at 175c (350f) for 25-30 minutes

Sprinkle some powdered sugar..
