boneless chicken breasts: 200-250 gms
Plain Curd: 2-3 Tbs
Dried Italian herbs: 1/2tsp (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary mix)
Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1/2Tbs
Black Pepper Powder: 1/4tsp
Red Chili Flakes: 1/4tsp
Fresh Mint Leaves: 10-12 Finely Chopped
Green Chili: 1 Finely Chopped
Green Coriander Leaves: A Few(Finely Chopped)
Salt to taste
Instructions:
* Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine curd, Ginger-Garlic paste, dried Italian herbs, black pepper, red chili flakes, Finely Chopped Green Chili, Finely Chopped Green Coriander Leaves, Finely Chopped Mint Leaves and salt.
* Whisk until smooth.
* Taste the marinade and adjust salt or spices as needed.
*
Marinate the Chicken:
* Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel to help the marinade adhere.
* Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the marinade, ensuring all sides are covered.
* Prepare the Steamer:
* Fill the steamer pot or a large pot with 1-2 inches of water, ensuring the water doesn’t touch the steaming basket.
* Bring the water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
* Steam the Chicken:
* Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off excess (but leave a thin layer for flavor).
* Place the chicken breasts in the steaming basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap.
* Cover the steamer and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the Chicken Breast is cooked properly. Check doneness by cutting a slice n see if the Chicken Breast is pink or white. Chicken turns pink to white when cooked properly.
*
Rest and Serve:
* Remove the chicken from the steamer and let it rest for 2-3 minutes to retain juices.
* Slice or serve whole, garnished with fresh Finely Chopped Green Leaves if desired.
*
Tips:
* For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or dried thyme to the marinade.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
