It doesn’t get any better than meat on a stick. Grilled Koftas Kabobs is loaded with flavor. A blend of ground beef and ground lamb, they are seasoned with cumin and cloves to give it an exotic flavor. Serve with hot pitas and yogurt and enjoy Mediterranean fare. Victoria Paikin:

Ingredients

1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 pound ground lamb
2 teaspoons sweet paprika
1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper or to taste
1/4 cup parsley
6 garlic cloves, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste

OPTIONAL: SOME GRILLED TOMATOES AND PEPPERS OR OTHER VEGGIES LIKE ZUCCHINI

Instructions
In a large bowl mix well all the ingredients with your hands.
Then pop the batter into the fridge for 30 minutes to rest and to get cold.
Take preferable metal flat skewers and make sausage shape around it with batter.
Preheat grill to medium high heat and grill kofta kabobs for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they are cooked thru.

Serve with warm pita bread and yogurt sauce

  1. I looove kofta, I make it with onions thats nearly pureed in a food processor instead of garlic, and lime juice and zest (most people use lemon but the sweetness of the lime works so well with beef), paprika cinnamon cumin coriander salt pepper and lots of fresh parsley. Out of this world.

  3. In this video I show you how to make Kofta Kabobs/Kebabs! This dish is made with beef in this video but is also made with veal, lamb and ground chicken. Kofta is made all throughout the middle east and other regions of the world and they are Delicious! I also prepare Israeli cous cous as a side with this recipe. I hope you enjoy!
