This budget seafood chowder was so good my friend ended up eating the whole batch in one night, and I have had rave reviews from restaurants that use this recipe!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, finely diced
2 celery stalks
bacon
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken stock
2 bay leaves
500grams/ 1 pound of sea food
1 cup cream
500 grams of potatoes
Salt and pepper
Serve and eat with some fresh crusty bread… yummy!

I have been making this recipe for a long while now! I live in Boston, so clam chowdahhhhhhhh is our staple! Great recipe, Greg. I will also "ad-lib" some ingredients into the recipe. So far the very easiest recipe out there!

That does look absolutely amazing. And I will be trying it. But I have to put my 2 cents in. the only thing I do different is crisp that bacon first then pull it out add the rest of my stuff so the bacon has little crunch at the end.

Made it without bacon mussels n prawns since we don’t eat them. Made the recipe bigger x5 for family with some fried bread to go with. Used surimi n fresh fish and 2 packs of maggi seafood soup since I didn’t have the tinned fish juices. Tasted great! Thank you

I have made it too!! I didn’t use bacon, which I don’t like, but regardless it was incredible. I added finely chopped carrots and paprika.

For the first time to make . It’s yummy ! This guy made this soup not complicated to make !i used olive oil instead of bacon and used fat free half and half from Aldis . It turned to be another healthy meal !

Use fresh seafood indredients rather than canned. And stay away from the fake crab meat, in the absence of real crab meat, better to use just unflavored fresh chunks of fish.
