Easy Southern Smothered Pork Chops and Gravy (Slow Cooker Recipe) | I Heart Recipes



Hey ya’ll! Today we are making Easy Southern Smothered Pork Chops in the slow cooker:

What tastes better than a juicy, tender pork chop? A southern-style smothered pork chop with lots of gravy, that’s what! Growing up in a soul food household, I’ve had my share of amazing pork chops, but I must admit that nothing quite compares to homemade smothered pork chops! So gather the family for a comforting homemade dinner of Easy Southern Smothered Pork Chops and Gravy! Cook these in the slow cooker or oven for a tender, juicy, and flavorful meal.

0:26 – Season the pork chops.
0:36 – Add flour to a freezer bag.
0:44 – Add the pork chops.
0:48 – Shake to coat well.
0:57 – Remove the pork chops and shake off excess flour.
1:03 – Heat oil in a pan.
1:08 – Add the pork chops to the pan.
1:13 – Fry each side for 30 seconds and set aside.
1:25 – Don’t throw out the excess flour.
1:31 – Add chopped onions to the oil.
1:44 – Add the reserved flour to the pan.
1:50 – Stir well.
1:56 – Brown the onions and flour.
2:00 – Pour in chicken broth.
2:04 – Pour in half and half.
2:08 – Stir until well combined.
2:12 – Add minced garlic.
2:17 – Add celery flakes.
2:28 – Add salt and pepper.
2:36 – Stir until well combined.
2:47 – Add the pork chops to the slow cooker.
2:57 – Pour in the gravy.
3:16 – Cover and cook for 3 hours.
3:26 – Serve over a bed of rice.
3:38 – Garnish with parsley flakes.

All you need to do to be saved is believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins was buried and came back to life on the 3d day confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and you’ll be saved.   2. This is a really good looking recipe. I just wish you'd cut them open at the end and let me see what they look like inside. Are they tough or soft inside? We just cooked pork chop 1 inch pieces (I don't know name of the cut … "Thick Cut" wife says) by cooking them on the skillet. She cooked them by searing them, then simmered them in skillet. But, outside and edges were awesome, but the inside were so tough. So, maybe, your recipe will fix that and make them softer. Thanks for sharing and teaching us what you know.
