INGREDIENTS
For the dough:
8g dry yeast
20g sugar
200ml warm milk
30 ml olive oil
280g flour
A pinch of salt

For the filling:
1 red onion
1 carrot
1 red bell pepper
Olive oil for frying
400g minced beef
Salt and pepper to taste
½ tsp oregano
1 tsp paprika powder
1 tbsp tomato purée
Fresh parsley

250-300g cheese of choice

RECIPE
Dough:
Mix the yeast with the sugar. Add half the milk and leave to rise for 15 minutes. Sieve the flour into a large bowl. Stir in a pinch of salt. Add the rest of the milk, the oil and the yeast mixture and knead. Cover with cling film and leave to rise for about an hour.

Filling:
Chop the onion, grate the carrot and cut the bell pepper into small cubes. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the vegetables for about 5 minutes. Add the mince, salt, pepper, paprika powder and oregano. Stir in the tomato purée and fry until the meat is cooked. Add chopped parsley.

Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out an oval. Put cheese sticks on the sides and seal. Spread the filling generously in the middle of the pastry and top with the grated cheese. Place in the oven at 180 degrees for approx. 30 minutes until the pastry is nicely browned.
